The Colosseum is located in the heart of Rome and is accessible by many transport options. The easiest way is to take public transport to the Piazza del Colosseo. The Colosseo Metro station is a 4-minute walk from there. If you decide to go by the Rome Metro, take the metro on Line B (blue line). If you prefer to take the bus, please note that several bus lines pass by the Colosseum, and the bus station is also at the Piazza del Colosseo.
